- Rohto is a Japanese pharmaceutical company best known for its cooling eye drops. Founded in 1899, the brand has expanded globally and also produces skincare products under lines like Hada Labo and Melano CC.
They recently issued an official statement regarding the cyberattack they suffered. Since they failed to respond to our inquiries, we are hereby claiming responsibility for that attack.
The compromised material obtained includes the following categories:
~3.949.883 SalesForce Costumers
850,000 recorded customer calls (~3.5 TB): voice recordings averaging 4.3 MB each. This is the complete contact-center history rather than any recent slice, spanning consumer conversations with the eye-care and skincare support lines. Files are dated from September 2025 to April 2026.
Half a terabyte of corporate document operations (~439 GB, ~52,000 files): two SharePoint document libraries: sales-office huddle minutes going back years, product campaign calendars, POP design source files, presentation decks (3,300 PPTX, 95 GB), spreadsheets (18,500 xlsx/xls, 42 GB), PDFs (10,400, 27 GB), training and event video (260 files, 63 GB), and thousands of PNGs/JPGs of marketing renders.
~15 GB of departmental site collections: HR rulebooks (employment conditions, retirement allowances, leave systems), R&D portals with project codenames and published papers, IT helpdesk material, security-awareness training, master-data governance docs, and product-marketing shares.
~6.5 GB of internal systems material: a full internal-database dump (~1.4 million rows across sales, attendance, user, and security master tables), two years of monthly database logs, a cloud-storage bucket inventory, product master data (categories, brands, makers, JAN-coded item matrices), and an employee's OneDrive mirror including three generations of the company's TLS/code-signing certificates with exportable private keys.
~197 Outlook message files (~8.6 MB of pure text): procurement threads with a pharma partner, joint-research meeting records with a national university, internal sales coordination — several with embedded spreadsheets and external recipient addresses.
~87 GB of joint research with a national university (12,580 files): the complete archive of a multi-year supply-chain optimization collaboration, monthly meeting records from 2021 through 2024, paper drafts, lecture decks. Buried inside it, an industrial computer-vision project: scheduled camera captures of a company distribution hub in 5-, 10-, and 30-minute windows, footage of crane operations and truck movements, omnidirectional-camera person-detection demos, and an exhibition showcase introducing the hub itself. The imagery was systematically harvested for machine learning. Over ten thousand extracted high-resolution frames (2192×2192 fisheye, warehouse personnel visible within them) alongside annotation-tool databases cataloging every frame by building, operation, and time window.
~22 GB of raw dealer-level sales history — delivery, shipment, and POS sell-through results, day by day, dealer by dealer, across two and a half years, shared with the researchers as modeling input.
