Hello everyone,
Despite all the new security technologies available today, weak passwords remain one of the most common causes of account compromise.
Some common mistakes include:
- Using short passwords
- Reusing the same password across multiple sites
- Using predictable information (birthdays, names, etc.)
- Storing passwords in plain text
A strong password should be:
Long (12+ characters)
Unique for every account
Random and difficult to guess
A good example is using a password manager to generate and store unique passwords for each service.
Example:
V9!mK2@rP7#xL4$q
You don't need to memorize dozens of passwords anymore—password managers can do that securely for you.
Combined with MFA, strong passwords provide a much better level of protection against common attacks.
