Follow these tips to be secured over the internet.
1) Always use the URLs which start from ' Https ' and not from ' Http '
In them the difference seems only of a 's' but the 's' is the most important 'cause it means SECURE. The URLs with 'Https' are secured but the URLs starting from 'Http' are not. They may contain some Malwares which can seriously compromise your SECURITY.
2) It is based on the first point, if you use Net Banking, make sure that there is a GREEN LOCK sign and 'Https' in the URL ‘cause when you enter your credentials on a Site with URL of 'Http'.
They are highly compromised. Entering valuable information on these pages wouldn’t be a wise man’s choice.
3) If you get any messages saying that Please verify your Instagram or whatever Social Media account on the following link: (–link–) Thank You .
Never ever open these links but if you open these links in named Browsers like Chrome etc . It will show that there is a malicious site ahead. Basically, these are Phishing Pages which are designed by Hackers in order to get your credentials. Important to know is that they are directly connected to the Hacker's Databases and the second you enter your credentials they have the control over your account. The conclusion is that no Social Media sites will ever try to verify your account by this way.
4) Make sure that the files you are downloading are from trusted source , 'cause If you are downloading files from an untrusted source, there is a strong possibility that the access point you are using might be controlled by a Hacker. And he can Social Engineer you and he will be able to control your web surfing.
5) In Social Media accounts, always use 2 Factor Authentication wherever possible like Whatsapp and Instagram supports 2 Factor Authentication. Enable it and stay Safe.
The conclusion is that hacking is nothing but the foolishness of the User . However, b eing 100% secure is just a myth . But you can still guard basic loopholes. Stay Safe…..!!
Thank You! Stay Tuned!!
